Joe and Sidney Rigdon tried to one-up their competitors by reinstituting the Old Testament priesthood. But after Christ (the last High Priest), priesthoods were replaced by the inherent authority in the Holy Name of JESUS CHRIST.
20 For where two or three are gathered together in MY NAME, there am I in the midst of them. (Matthew 18)
